Providing Essential Aid to Children in Gaza

Immediate Relief, Direct Impact

The Humanitarian Fund for Displaced Children in Gaza is a mutual aid initiative delivering essential goods to vulnerable children across Gaza. We provide a safe, legal, and non-political channel for caring citizens worldwide to support Palestinian children in real time.

Our model is direct and transparent, bypassing the months-long deployment cycles of large institutions, allowing emergency relief to reach families immediately, while allowing donors to see what was purchased with those funds and who exactly they went to.

By combining the agility of a mutual aid model with the established institutional support of a non-profit (Rebuilding Alliance), we bridge the gap between global solidarity and local reality, delivering essential resources directly to those with critical need in a timely, respectful way.

100% of Your Donation Goes to the Procurement and Distribution of Aid

Every dollar purchases and delivers critical supplies, including:

  • Infant formula & diapers
  • Food & clean water
  • Clothing, blankets, and tents
  • Over-the-counter medical supplies

Speed

Packages reach families within two to six days of order placement. We move fast to ensure aid arrives as it’s needed most.

Legal and Accountable

We operate in full compliance with U.S. laws through our partnership with Rebuilding Alliance, a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit advancing Palestinian rights for over 20 years. Their project, The Gaza Giving Cart, ensures efficient and safe delivery.

Radical Transparency

  • Know Where Your Money Goes: See exactly what items were purchased and who received them.
  • Documented Proof: All purchases are published with photo documentation on our Chuffed platform.
  • Open Books: Financial ledgers and receipts are available in our Fund Allocation Document.  Additional records are available upon request at info@displacedchildrensfund.org.

Verification & Consent

To ensure aid reaches those in genuine need and complies with all legal standards, we individually verify each family’s identity, location, and eligibility.

Our process includes:

  • Identity Verification: Collection of identification documents for adults in the household to confirm Palestinian citizenship.
  • Compliance Screening: Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) clearance checks for all adults in the household to ensure adherence to U.S. regulations.
  • Location Confirmation: GPS data verifying the family’s physical presence within Gaza.
  • Needs Assessment: Video calls with families to assess living conditions and specific needs firsthand.

Privacy & Transparency

Participation is voluntary and informed. Families explicitly consent to share documentation of their need with potential donors and allow us to publish photos of their children along with the goods purchased with donations. This transparency ensures accountability while respecting the dignity and agency of every family we serve.

Build a Connection

Beyond material aid, we can facilitate direct communication between donors and the families they support, fostering human connection.

You can turn compassion into immediate, tangible relief.

Governance & Strategic Partnerships

Guided by an international Board of Directors closely connected to the families we serve, decisions are made collaboratively and transparently to ensure equity and accountability.

Our partnerships are foundational to the work we do. Our teams work in collaboration for the greatest good of the families served. Egos and personal agendas are set aside.

We approach this work with sensitivity to the trauma families have endured, prioritizing cultural appropriateness and listening to community needs. We strive to deliver aid that empowers families and respectfully navigates the intensity of their everyday experiences.

Our process

1. Identifying Families in Need

Families facing urgent hardship are identified through trusted partners or by contacting the Fund directly.

2. Verification

Each family is carefully verified by both an external advocate and a Fund Board member to confirm identity, location, and details of need.

3. Family Enrollment

Once verified, families are added to the Fund and remain in regular contact with Board members and volunteers as their circumstances change.

4. Allocation of Donations

Donations are distributed based on donor specifications when provided. Undesignated funds are allocated through a rapid review process that prioritizes urgency, vulnerability, and fairness.

5. Transfer of Aid

Essential goods are purchased and trasferred directly to our partner-families through The Gaza Giving Cart, a 501(c)(3) based in the U.S.A.

6. Transparency

All distributions are published with photo documentation of deliveries, dated financial records, photos of receipts, and additional details available upon request.

Urgent Medical Evacuation Support

The Humanitarian Fund partners with Rebuilding Alliance (RA), the Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL), and other NGOs to support families awaiting critical medical evacuation.

These children are at extreme risk. Malnutrition weakens their bodies as they face complications from their illnesses and tent-life hazards: contaminated water, nonexistent sanitation, and exposure to harsh elements.

Without immediate intervention, preventable conditions can become lethal. Your support helps bridge the gap until they receive the specialized care they desperately need.

Donation Allocations

You can choose to support a specific family or let us direct your gift where it’s needed most.

Designated Gifts: Support a specific child or family. Simply include the child’s name in the “Notes” section when you donate via Chuffed.

Undesignated Gifts: Trust us to reach those in critical need. Our board rapidly allocates these funds based on immediate vulnerability—prioritizing infants without formula, children with medical emergencies, and families facing extreme exposure or recent displacement. We also factor in whether a family has received other recent support to ensure equitable distribution.

Agency Matters: Regardless of how you donate, every family selects their own essentials from The Gaza Giving Cart. This ensures they receive exactly what they need most, maintaining dignity in a time of crisis.

Become a Sister-Family Sponsor

You can offer a child in Gaza the gift of predictability. Through our sister-family sponsorship program, you can provide weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly deliveries of infant formula, diapers, or customized grocery packages.

This recurring support is more powerful than a one-time gift—it provides nutritional stability and peace of mind, shielding families from the constant anxiety of not knowing where their child’s next meal will come from. It is one of the most profound ways to stand in solidarity with children navigating daily survival.

You can sign-up by adding the name of the child or family at check-out and selecting the time interval (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) that works best for you.
